Module I: Planning and Resourcing (12 hours) This module focuses on the strategic and operational need for effective logistics planning. It explores the core principles of fleet management, different road freight transport modes, and the complexities of routing and scheduling. Students will study both manual and computer-aided routing methods and understand how technologies like GPS and RFID enhance logistics efficiency. Module II: Domestic Logistics Operations (12 hours) Students will explore vehicle selection based on operational needs, load characteristics, and vehicle body types. This module also highlights the operational differences between domestic and international logistics, helping learners understand local logistics dynamics and constraints. Module III: Documentation in Logistics (12 hours) Accurate documentation and timely information flow are vital in logistics. This module introduces students to common transport documents, booking procedures, and legal paperwork required in domestic transport. It also covers coordination with terminals and compliance related to exceptional loads and driver regulations.
